"Cancelled appointments & lost test results"

About: Pilgrim Hospital / Gastroenterology

Our very good friend who doesn't have any family close by to fight her case has had at least three appointments to see a consultant cancelled, despite twice being admitted through A&E since Xmas. She has had at least two scans both of which the results have been mislaid. her Dr has contacted the hospital but once again her recent appointment was cancelled and the letter stated we have no plans to give any appointments in the near future! !

This lady has already had a colostomy a number of years ago and has now been diagnosed with gall stones which when this condition flares up causes a great deal of pain and has an awful reaction with the colostomy which results in her having to attend A&E in fact on one such occasion the Dr had the wrong notes same name but 30years difference in age. I feel now that I need to do something to help as she won't make a fuss. What is going wrong here?
