"Exemplary Care but who goes to A&E ?"

About: Bristol Royal Infirmary

I was knocked off my bicycle on the 27 Apr and suffered a broken shoulder. The A&E department at BRI were efficient and helpful. I received an X Ray and a CT Scan because of further medical conditions. The emergency medic should be commended for their detailed knowledge and approachable demeanor. No complaints. I would like to add that I couldn't help overhear a number of other conversations; a great deal of the other patients were (in my amateur opinion) far from the term 'Emergency'. Despite the medical staff being as reassuring as they could be, one patient was simply using A&E because it took too long to arrange a GP's appointment. Is this really a good use of an emergency service ? Thank you to the A&E staff. MB
