What could be improved
communication between doctors and nurses failed miserable, when a doctor decides that a patient can be discharged at 10am in the morning, the nurse should not have to chase the doctor for nearly 5 hours to get the relevent paperwork signed. my experience today makes me wonder how many hospital bed spaces are being misused in this way, surely if a patient is ready to be discharged then it should be done and dusted during ward rounds? I fully understand that doctors are under pressure and that other matters may arise, but i do wonder how many service users actually discharge themselves like i did today..
Anything else?
i would not choose to use this hospital in the future.
