About: Dorset County Hospital

Unfortunately had to attend late Saturday night to A&E. The department was very busy. However as I was prone to infection I was taken to a cubicle and had the investigations I needed carried out immediately. All staff demonstrated knowledge and professionalism. I cannot thank them enough. I needed to be admitted and the staff on Fortuneswell ward were all fantastic too. The medical team I saw the following morning despite clearly being busy took time to both examine me and to ensure I understood all that was happening. I am currently spending a lot of time at Dorset County would like to say thank you for all their care.

Thank you for taking the time to share your recent experience with us, I will make sure the Emergency Department team and Fortuneswell staff hear how much you appreciated the care and treatment you received at our Hospital. It can be very frightening coming into hospital, especially when you are prone to infections and so I was pleased to read you were cared for in a cubicle whilst your tests were being undertaken and that everything was explained clearly to you.
