What could be improved

I tried and tried to contact the Child Health Department by phone. When the phone finally picked up there was nobody to answer the call. I then tried on the main hospital number and when that finally was answered I was advised that the receptionist had been unable to reach that department all morning either.

Anything else?

This is the first time I have had to contact the hospital and find the service very poor - please employ more receptionists and sort out the telephone system.
