"Joke of a place"

About: Manor Hospital

Admitted 2 months ago and given ultrasound scan for severe abdominal pain and swollen stomach, told the next day that ultrasound was clear and a ct scan had been arranged as an outpatient and an appointment would be sent out, went for this ct scan and was told my gp would get the results in a week or so. Waited 2 weeks and rang my gp who knew nothing about any scans, found out the ultrasound scan had been sent to an old gp, my dr got the results eventually and said the scan showed gallstones and I would need my gallbladder removing, even though I was told they showed nothing on my discharge,no ct results though, I was told the consultant at the hospital was the only person who could tell me as these would not be sent to gp! Rang Walsall manor to attempt to find out who the consultant was and finally got given an appointment for a month later. So today I was in extreme pain and rang 111 who advised I go to hospital immediately, got there and they had an address for me from 15 years ago and no record of my previous admission which worried me, and saw a nurse who put it through as urgent as I was in too much pain to sit for the estimated 3.5 hours waiting time, although obviously the various drunks, drug addicts and idiots with nothing wrong with them would be seen far sooner than this ! an hour later I was called through and directed to another crammed waiting room and informed I had been referred to badger out of hours Dr and would have to sit and wait, I saw the lengthy queue and walked out as I can see a gp anytime and only went to the hospital as I had been told to go immediately. So after initially being told an ultra sound was clear and then being informed 2 weeks later I actually needed surgery, the fact the ct scan result is going to be a minimum month even though I was told it would be sent out to my gp in a week, the fact they had no record of my admission and no current address on record, and then finally deemed my condition only serious enough to warrant an out of hours doctor I have decided to forego any future appointments with this joke of a place and fund my own treatment privately. If I was brought here seconds away from death then I would use my last breath to call a taxi away from this place!
