"The staff were very friendly and ..."

About: Kent & Sussex Hospital

(as the patient),

What I liked

The staff were very friendly and very helpful. The trainees were closely monitored and taught well. The ward was cleaned continuously.

What could be improved

There is a distince lack of communications between all medical staff. Doctors are not sure what nurses are doing nor the support staff. I ended up walking to the anestic room as there were no porters. I do understand the difficulties. I was given 3 cups of tea and two sliced of bread with butter in a 24 hours stay. Catering should be in house from the cafeteria. The server who gave me the bread was not sure if I were supposed to eat. Very confusing.

I would say communication and food would greatly improve life, from a staff view point.

Anything else?

I do agree the parking lot is difficult to navigate but that should be much better with the new hospital.
