Went in as an outpatient to see dermatology. Put my paper in the tray, watched a nurse pick it up and walk off ten minutes later. Thirty minutes later I ask a nurse if they knew of a delay with dermatology - the nurse told me they didn't work that department but would ask the other nurse and let me know. Twenty minutes later another nurse came and called out my name asking if I was there. I stood up and the nurse asked where my letter was. I told the nurse that I'd put it in the tray an hour ago and just got "well it's not there". I explained that I'd seen a nurse take it and got "well it wasn't me, I didn't take it". A few minutes later I got called to the doctor and again was told by the second nurse that they hadn't taken the letter and I should have spoken to someone. I told them that I had asked another nurse but they had vanished and never returned. Again I was told that it wasn't them who'd taken it. Never received any acknowledgement or apology for the fact that I'd been waiting an hour for a two minute appointment because someone had lost my paperwork! Very disappointed, as all my prior visits were more-or-less problem free.
""Misplaced" paperwork"
