"everything. The midwives were ..."

About: Crowborough Birthing Centre

(as the patient),

What I liked

everything. The midwives were friendly, filled me with confidence and were totally supportive throughout my labour. They gave my partner and I privacy, and at the same time were there helping me through whenever I needed it. I had to be transferred to Pembury when my waters broke due to meuconium, and the midwife who had looked after me all day kept me calm, travelled in the ambulance with me and stayed for a while when I arrived to make sure I was ok. The next morning when the midwives at Pembury asked if I would like to transfer back to Crowborough I cried - I couldn't think of anything I wanted more. Once there the midwives gave me the best aftercare I could have hoped for. They were supportive when I had problems breastfeeding, cared for my baby at night so I could rest, and were just so amazing I can't really describe it. Whenever I think of the time I spent there it's with warmth, and I wouldn't hesitate to have my second baby with them.

What could be improved

Nothing at all, 10 out of 10.
