"Assessment suite"

About: The Royal Victoria Infirmary

I had the misfortune of being a patient in the Assessment Suite at the RVI. When I arrived in the middle of the night I was not given a blanket, or water, or told any information such as where the toilet was. One of the HCAs was irritable and degrading towards a confused lady who needed assistance using a bedpan. One of the nurses was very rude and I felt threatened by their behaviour towards me. I think they are so understaffed that they don't have time to care, but I don't think rudeness is acceptable however busy they are. The experience was dehumanising.
