I had the need to visit the a&e dept ,and later admitted to a ward . From arriving in the hospital receptionists , nurses , doctors porters and domestic staff were amazing . It makes me so angry to see people using the service and treat the hospital & staff so horrendously , I personally witnessed on 3 occasions while in the hospital 3 patients be beyond difficult, rude aggressive screaming and shouting . And all the staff did there utmost to calm &treat these very ungrateful difficult patients . My own experience was wonderful , nursing staff amazing and so understanding of my anxiety and going above & beyond to put me at ease. During my stay, even though it was extremely busy both in a&e and on the ward. The staff if needed would take the time to answer any question, offer reassurance . The food was so much better then I remembered, and good choice & fresh . On my ward all beds got change first thing in the morning, cleaned at least 3 times a day bathroom was spotless and no nasty smells anywhere . The nursing staff / general staff on the 8th floor charles predds ward wonderful so hard working, friendly, helpful 10/10. What I also thought was wonderful and can only be of benefit to staff & patients, set visiting times . Gives nursing staff time to carry out there duties and patients quite time to recover . Our nhs is fantastic so are all the staff, credit where credit is due . Thank you for your superb care
