"What an awesome ward"

When my daughter was admitted to Bergholt Ward via A&E last week, the welcome we were given could not have been friendlier. We felt assured and cared for from the moment we arrived to the moment we left - 3 very long days later. We were kept well informed of test results and the next steps in our daughters care.

Special thanks must got to Dr. Filby for her care and expertise, and making our daughter smile. And to Georgie and Donna for the continuous temperature taking! Georgie was awesome when our daughter was having her IV antibiotics - playing find the 'wiggly' helped.

All of the staff we came into contact with were lovely and helpful when we needed it, but the 3 mentioned will be forever in our debt for helping our daughter recover, and ensuring that a stay which could have been very scary for a 5 year old was made a more bearable experience.

What an awesome ward and one that I hope the 'bigwigs' realise do an amazing job! We hope we don't have to visit again but we know if we should call upon them again we feel safe in the knowledge that our children would be in the best place possible! Many thanks once again.

I would like to firstly thank you for taking the time to leave such positive feedback. I can confirm that all of the 'bigwigs' across the organisation have been sent a copy of your story. From the 'bigwigs' to the 'littlewigs' we are all equally chuffed when our Children's Ward gets the recognition it so thoroughly deserves.
