"Hospital care after a fall"

About: Ipswich Hospital / Accident and emergency

(as the patient),

I am a 70 year old lady. I had an argument involving a vacuum cleaner, my cross collie lab and a doorway. The dog won. I fell over and hurt my back and hip.

The ambulance crew were fantastic and A&E were really good althoough there was a wait.

Brantham staff are great and they got me to a ward as soon as they could. The hospital staff were great all round

Good morning,

Thank you for sharing your story with us. I am terribly sorry to learn of your run in with your vaccuum cleaner and your dog! I am however delighted to learn of your experience with both our A&E and Brantham ward teams.

I will be sure to share your experience with the teams, and thank you again for sharing your feedback with us.

I hope you are now fully recovered.

Many thanks

Dominic Mundy.

Update posted by Sandyben (the patient)

In my opinion, people in the UK spend all their time moaning about the NHS. They should all have to spend time abroad as ex pats, as I did, and learn what it's like not to receive any treatment until you have produced a credit card! I have nothing but praise for Ipswich Hospital staff who do a great job sometimes under very difficult circumstances which are half the time caused by unpleasant and badly behaved patients. Staff are only human and perhaps they appreciate when they get a polite and appreciative patient like me!

Thank you so very much for taking the time to give us your feedback. I am so sorry the dog won but I am very glad that you received great care from our hospital team. I shall make sure that all staff involved in your care know of your praise. Every good wish for the future. Jan Ingle
