"Waiting times"

About: Stepping Hill Hospital Tameside General Hospital / General medicine

(as a staff member posting for a patient/service user),

This story has been posted by Healthwatch Tameside on behalf of a member of the public. We have their details and will forward any comments to them. They said…

1) Arriving at Stepping Hill Hospital at an overfull clinic, there was no-one available to give feedback on waiting times. A two hour wait, nothing resolved.

2) On a previous Tameside Hospital visit 2 years ago (mobile unit) I was told I would be sent for further treatment. Still waiting! ! Took action last year regarding treatment myself.

Response from Helen Howard, Head of Patient Experience, Tameside and Glossop Integrated Care NHS Foundation Trust

We are really sorry you have had to raise these concerns. Without having the specific details and given the time delay of this being brought to our attention, we are unsure if this has already been resolved.

If you would like to contact our Pals and complaints department on 0161 922 4466 they will be able to look into this for you.

John Goodenough

Director of Nursing

’Would you like to help the hospital to improve its services further? We are currently looking for patients and carers to become involved in a development called “Patient Stories”. We want to know more about our services from the point of view of those who received them – what was good, bad, what could be improved, what should be changed. Want to know more about what’s involved? Please contact John Goodenough, Director of Nursing at
