"Visit to A&E on Thursday April 16th"

About: Good Hope Hospital

Having sustained a severe laceration following a fall in my garden, my daughter (heavily pregnant) dashed me to A&E for treatment. Despite initially entering through the wrong door, from the moment I sought help to the moment I left, I was treated with exceptional efficiency and professionalism by every member of staff I encountered. Unfortunately, I didn't notice the details on the name badges so that I could be more specific, suffice to say that the impression created was of an efficient and well motivated team without exception. The demeanour was uniformly cheerful - which permeated to me a confidence and sureness inthe treatment I was to receive. I could not be more impressed. I do hope the politicians provide the support necessary to maintain such a high level of care. Many thanks. Steve Peak

Response from Marie Helebert, Patient Services Officer, Patient Services, Heart of England Foundation Trust

Dear Mr Peak

Thank you for taking the time to post your feedback following your unfortunate fall in the garden recently.

I am so very pleased to read that you had a positive experience and that you felt you were treated quickly with professionalism and efficiency.

I will highlight your comments to Anna Howell Good Hope Hospital's A&E Matron, to Richard Beavan-Parsons Operations Manager and to Arne Rose our Associate Medical Director at Good Hope Hospital who I know will be thrilled to read your feedback.

I hope this is acceptable and may I offer my best wishes for a speedy recovery.

Kind Regards

Marie Helebert
