"Antenatal - baby scan unfriendly staff"

About: University Hospital Of North Durham

I attended the second baby scan with my son and his partner. I found the experience provided by the staff during the scan to be unfriendly, lacking in any pleasantries, limited communication and 'cold'. I realise that they may carry out these scans on a daily basis and is nothing special to them, however this was a special occasion for us and we would not expect the happiness to be diluted by unpleasant staff. I am appalled at the uncomfortable experience we received and feel compelled to complain about it in the hope it does not happen to them again at the next scan or to other expectant parents who deserve at least a smile on such an occasion.
