"Overall opinion of Royal Brompton hospital"

About: Royal Brompton Hospital

I was in Royal Brompton for heart bypass operation from 23rd March 2015 to 1st April 2015. My operation was cancelled once because of emergency and it was organised specially on 27th March afternoon. I was in Intensive care for one night and then in high dependency unit and at both these places I had excellent nursing care staff and was very well looked after. When I moved to Princess Alexandra Ward before and after the operation most patients were very friendly and staff was excellent. I was very impressed by the service I received and in my opinion this was the best hospital I had been to for treatment etc. Most surgeons and doctors were very caring and looked after my well being all throughout my stay. I felt very very safe.

Response from Royal Brompton Hospital

Dear Ashok, Thank you very much for taking the time to post about your recent heart surgery at Royal Brompton. We work hard to deliver a high standard of specialist care throughout the hospital, so it’s great to know that you experienced this first hand during your time in intensive care, the high dependency unit and Princess Alexandra ward. We know how important it is for patients to feel safe and cared for throughout their stay with us and it’s really good to hear that this was your experience. Wishing you all the best for the future.
