What I liked
My son was treated for cancer in Oncology and the Chemo Unit. The staff were a fantastic team - receptionists, nurses and doctors were caring and courteous throughout and always had time for us, both in person and on the phone. I don't think the level of care could have been better.
What could be improved
Before the cancer diagnosis my son attended the ENT department. Whilst some staff were very helpful, this tended to be the exception and patients seemed to be seen as an annoyance. You should send nurses and receptionists to Oncology so they can see how things should be done.
Anything else?
We really appreciated the dedicated Cancer Centre carpark with low cost parking. Although we couldn't always get in there, the attendant was really kind and helpful.
