"Thank you to the efficient staff of A&E"

After falling, banging and cutting my head I visited the A & E department.

I found a calm, clean waiting room, with facilities for children to occupy themselves with and TV screen, drinks vending machines. The staff on the reception desk were polite, sympathetic, efficient, professional.

I was seen by a nurse within 15 minutes and assessed. I was seen half-an-hour later by a doctor who assessed my condition, then stitched the wound. All the staff were friendly, busy, calm, concerned.

Having heard so much negative stuff about the state of the NHS, particularly in Wales, I wanted to record my positive experience and say thank you again to the staff on duty that evening.
