"Ward 8 SAU LRI"

About: Leicester Royal Infirmary

I was admitted to Ward 8 SAU on 14/4/15 for minor surgery on an underarm abscess. This was my first time in hospital and I was feeling very anxious about having a general anaesthetic. I would like to take this opportunity to thank the Nurses, Doctors and Anaesthetists who treated me with such respect and kindness. Always putting me at ease and reassuring me at all times. The care I was given during my stay was excellent. I witnessed staff that endure long shifts constantly working under pressure who always put the patient first. I would like to express my sincere thanks to the doctor who managed to put me at ease and showed such empathy and understanding.

Dear Angie,

Thank you so much for taking the time to share your experience with us. It can be very daunting coming into hospital, especially if it is your first time, so we are delighted to hear the entire team treated you with a high level of compassionate and care.

Wishing you the best of health and a speedy recovery,
