I had a very painful hernia at night at the weekend that required urgent emergency surgery. The care I received from the moment I arrived at the emergency department was first class and they could not have done more. Surgery was arranged and I had a brilliant consultant (Mr John). I came to in the early hours of a Monday morning in the Recovery ward and they looked after me so well with pain control until a bed was arranged for me on Brook Ward.

The Brook ward's care was second to none and they really helped me overcome the post operative pain and they could not have done enough for me. Everything was fantastic and their care was outstanding. I am truly grateful for the care at the SSH at the East Surrey Hospital.
