"farther was forgotton about"

About: Airedale General Hospital

After my farther was sent to hospital from his nursing home, due to being very confused and not knowing anyone at the home.We were waiting for ages. I did ask for assistance because my farther is diabetic. I was worried about his levels. The staff were pleasant. And saw his his needs. I arrived at 11.15 and left at 5.45 .my farther was left with a consultant who was checking out his dressings on his legs By this time his confusion has siezed, but he was forgotton about in A and E according to ambulance staff. And he didn't arrive home till well past 10.00. No one rung to tell my what was the outcome of his visit or to say wether he was stopping in hospital or not.

It is gratifying to know that staff saw to the needs of your father, but we are sorry to read of the delays he encountered during a recent visit to our Emergency Department (ED). Your comments have been passed to the ED team. We would value the opportunity to discuss this experience in person and encourage you to contact our Patient Advice and Liaison Service (PALS) on 01535 294019.
