"lack of help when in crisis"

About: Norfolk and Suffolk NHS Foundation Trust / Crisis resolution

(as a friend),

My bestfriend called the crisis team when she was in crisis, she told them she was about to kill herself and they said there was nothing they could do. Feeling alone, She took an overdose and got rushed into hospital. Need to make this service better for ill people! she had no help at all.

We appreciate as a friend you would want to tell us about this very upsetting experience and say we “ need to make this service [crisis service] better..”. We see that your friend also posted a comment and it is reassuring that you are clearly being a great support to them.

We have several crisis teams in our organisation so it’s difficult for us to connect your comments with a particular team but we really would want to, so we can think about how we support younger people in distress.

If you and/or your friend could take a few minutes to call or email with more about your story we would really welcome this. You could help us think about how we could improve our services as well as making sure your friend is getting all the support they need. Please contact our PALS team email: pals@nsft.nhs.uk or phone Freephone 0800 279 7257. Use the reference code PA15-2 in order for us to link your contact with this comment
