Mum was taken ill severa weeks ago. Intensive care / coronary care ward V good. Cardiac ward Ok. Mum was still eating and walking( I have pictures to show that, but the poster on the wall in ward A10 claims they are rehabilitating/ helping patients to improve so they can go home/ move into care. I can find no record of efforts to mobilise my Mum and now she is either slumped in a chair or increasingly just lying in bed sometimes with a row of untouched drinks beside her, or last time I visited ( I live over 70 miles away), an untouched cup of tea without even a straw and no beaker next to the water. This contributes to the downward spiral in Mum's condition. They talk of sending her home, but I have yet to see her get out of bed or a chair by herself and there seems to be a lack of effort to get her to do this.
"The care doesn't match the claims on the poster."
