What I liked
I have been a patient at the Princess Anne Hospital for nearly 3 years - firstly with the Fertility Unit and now, happily, with the maternity unit. With very rare exception, all the staff I have encountered have been helpful, caring, honest and have treated me with respect. I have come across a couple in the past 3 years who have been insensitive, but they have been the minority - and you find those kind of people everywhere unfortunately. In particular, whe I had to have surgery in Feb 08 the nurses in the day unit were exceptional.
My appointments have been timely and only one was rearranged with plenty of notice given. The facilities are aging but clean.
What could be improved
The car park is awful. It is hard enought to find a space, but the spaces are tiny. I'm not a large person and I've not got a huge pregnancy bump yet, but when I attended my mid-way scan I could barely get myself and my bump out of the car. I had to leave the car sticking out of the space in order to be able to get in and out. I don't know how I'll cope nearer to term???
