My Mum was taken into A&E on 27th Feb and was resuscitated there. She was transferred to Midgeley ward where she received first class treatment. She was unable to do anything for herself including feeding, but the staff were very attentive and she was treated with respect and dignity. We travelled down from Swindon and arrived well after visiting hours, but we were welcomed into the ward and the nurse took time to talk to us and explain Mum's condition. The whole time she was in this ward we were allowed to visit at any time and we were kept informed of all that was happening to her. The doctor was always available and discussed the best options for Mum. At times it seemed that she would not get better, but with the care and attention that she received, she improved enough to be moved to Paignton hospital on 12th March and is now being cared for at home. We also appreciated the car park pass which the ward team arranged for us. We have had several experiences of using the Torbay hospital and I have written before to say how much we appreciate the good service provided, but on this occasion the staff of Midgeley Ward exceeded all our expectations. I would like to thank them all and would recommend them as a superb team.
"Midgeley Ward is excellent"
