"Paediatric Day Care Ward 4"

This is the 2nd visit to the Children's Day ward for my daughter to have her bloods done, they have to be taken monthly due to the medication that she is on. My daughter is extremely needle phobic and suffers a complete meltdown when bloods are due. I cannot praise the 2 nurses enough. They go beyond their normal duties and are extremely patient and reassuring until we get the bloods done. This attempt took 3.5hrs. These poor nurses ended up (because of my daughter) only having 10mins for their lunch. At no point were we ever felt rushed or a nuisance, even though I'm sure we were. All the staff we have dealt with on this ward are so professional but also go the extra mile with the extra patience, compassion and empathy that some children need.
