I recently had an angiogram for the second time as a result of my gp stopping asprin when she shouldn't have done as I had been sick as I had two stents put in after my heart attack. When the doctor at the hospital found out they got me back in within six weeks to have my stents checked. On this visit I was welcomed to ward 27 and treat extremely well from everyone. The Only problem was when I went for my angiogram I was taken to the recovery bit where people had already had it done. Within seconds a gentleman lying on a trolley right next to where I was sitting started vomiting almost hitting me so they moved me a few yards away with someone next to me dripping blood and the staff opened a door of a room to go in where I could see them pumping someone's chest as they were having a cardiac arrest. When I came to go for mine I was feeling so upset. When I got home that night I was in floods of tears itreally traumatised me. Patients shouldn't be put in recovery before there procedure. this is no reflection on the staff in there who did there best and were fantastic even though they were stressed.
