I an writing this as I sit in the A&E ward on Monday 20th April at 6.20am. We have been here since 3.45am awaiting for a doctor to check my dad's serious chest and breathing pains. Asked the senior nurse on duty how long more it will be @ 5.30am and the nurse was very rude to my mum and said will see when they can. You've only been here 1.5 hrs and they have 3 doctors on duty and there was a woman who needed to be resuscitated. Fair enough except for the last 30mins + I have seen a doctor walking around doing not much. The doctor even had to be told by another doctor that we had waited for 2hr 20mins and to have a look at us. So now at 6.20am, the doctor has finally just waltzed in saying shall I have a look at you! And then the doctor went out of the room. I would understand if the A&E was extremely busy but it is so quiet at the moment. One of the nurses even came in earlier and had assumed that we had seen a doctor and had some medication prescribed, and when we said we are still awaiting to see the doctor the nurse was shocked and apologetic. Seriously Kingston A&E, you need to up your game and level of service as this does not help the reputation of the NHS and especially yourself! The doctor walked out 10mins ago and we are still awaiting to see them again. It's not just the nurses then......that are creating problems! Would appreciate if I could have a proper way to make a complaint.
"Extremely worthless service"
