Dear Anonymous Many thanks for taking the time to tell us about your fathers visit to A&E. As an NHS professional yourself I am sure you can appreciate the value that positive feedback can have on the staff and also the benefit to other patients who may be anxious about going to hospital. I am pleased to hear that your father was seen swiftly by a consultant who gave good care and was able to pass on useful information to you both. We are actively recruiting more consultants to work in our Emergency Department in order to provide greater levels of consultant care across a 24 hour period so I am glad that you were able to benefit from this. Our A&E and AMU work very closely to enable a smooth flow of patients into the hospital and it is good to know that the nurse looking after your father helped provide good care while you waited. I will pass on your kind words to all those involved with caring for your father and I am sure, like myself; they wish him a speedy recovery. Regards Sue Mellor Head of Patient Engagement
