About: Pilgrim Hospital / Trauma and orthopaedics

(as the patient),

Drops of blood on the floor in the reception, no soap in the reception toilet. Only one of the Hand wash of the antiseptic solution working and having got into a cubicle to wait for a Dr again various Antiseptic hand wash containers were empty! !

Also having to wait in the small overheated cubicle for over an hour no communication was given to us despite looking for a person to find out when we would be seen. Eventually we found a nurse who said our waiting time would be very long indeed! We had been there for almost 3 hrs 45 mminutes! !

When the Dr did arrive he was very good with a good bedside manner. We then saw other members of staff who were very nice and gave us good service sorting out the problem. So staff good. Very concerned about the mentioned details.

We would like to apologise that the cleanliness standards were well below the expected standard and that you waited an extremely long time for the doctor to come to see you.
