What I liked

The hospital is undoubtably a centre for excellence in the coronary disease field. The medical satff and carers who deliver patient care are very, very good although they are severely hampered by beaurocratic nonsense and rules that defy logic. I find it incomprehensible that nursing staff are outnumbered by administrative and support staff!!

What could be improved

A more transparent system of procedures and processes could be introduced which would remove ambiguity and the incidence of mis intperpretation. I found it incongruous that Pharmacy staff are allowed to interpret rules regarding control of patient provided medication to their own advantage!

Anything else?

I would recommend that the Hospital management committee commission an urgent review of their processes and procedures - for patient care and comfort - taking into consideration all of the feedback received via this forum.

I should also like to add my personal thanks to the medical staff for the medical treatment and care that I received during my stay - they are truly "angels".
