"Gallbladder removal"

About: Spire Wellesley Hospital

I had my gallbladder out on Tues 31st March. Having never been in hospital before I was quite anxious. However all my fears were put to rest on arrival. I was met and escorted to my room by a lovely member of staff who showed me how everything in the room worked. Shortly after my one to one nurse came and explained everything to me and prepared me for surgery. My surgeon came and spoke through the whole procedure and asked if I had any questions to which they were happy to answer, without at any time making me feel rushed. The anaesathist was also really lovely, allaying any fears about being put to sleep. The surgery went really well and I was allowed home that evening. The whole hospital experience was a positive one and my recovery was only enhanced by the fact the surgeon and staff were very skilled, kind and knowledgeable. Since leaving the hospital I had soreness for a few days but no pain and was well enough to return to work within 11 days. As I was sent here by the nhs, I am grateful to have received such excellent care.
