My son is chronically unwell and in hospital a lot. He has been under the care of a number of hospitals and the experiences at the L+D are by far the best. The nurses are attentive and caring. The Doctors are clinically skilled and give you the time you need. The staff are all very friendly. They all genuinely seem to care. The most important factor is that they include you in your child's care - you, as a parent, are seen as an important part of the team looking after your child. As a result you feel respected, heard and involved as a patient and a parent. As a parent of a chronically ill child there are lots of challenges that need to be faced regularly but I feel a huge weight has been lifted off my shoulders with the knowledge of the expert team looking after my son. They also have no idea how good the service is that the whole paediatric team offer. its so refreshing................. don't change!
