"A&E"

I had my coil fitted in the out patient department at the hospital on the 1st of this month. I few days ago I started getting extremely intense cramps in my stomach, I rang the out patient department an was told to see my GP or go to A & E, I called my doctor and was sent to the sexual health clinic. The doctor there advised me to go straight to the Hospial as the coil could have moved or perpetrate my uterus. I waited about half an hour to see the triage nurse, the nurse I saw ignored the fact I was under medical advise to come down as I need a scan, and was rude and condescending, acting like I had normal period cramp. The nurse also argued with another member of staff over who would see me then huffed, and announced they would examine me and stay late and they was due to go home. I then got sent to another part of the Hospital, the nurse I had previously seen came to the department to talk to the two nurses who would be caring for me until seeing the doctor. Not realising the door was open and I was within earshot I heard the complaining that I had a bit cramp and was wasting their time and further went on to compare their experience to mine and complained that people should grow up. I believe when you are getting severe stabling pain like that of labour you should seek medical advice and not be seen as a hindrance. It was completely ignored that I had been told to come down for a scan by a medical profession, the last place I want to be on a Friday evening is hospital. I felt like was treat with no dignity what so ever and was made to feel like an inconvenience. I could not believe I was in a medical place and was treat with so little respect when I needed specialist advice. I saw the doctor, who was lovely, and was generally concerned and had has sent me for scans next week was it could be the coil has moved after all.
