"Goole Opthamolgy"

About: Goole & District Hospital (Acute)

I have been attending this department for some time now and recently had an eye operation at Goole. All of the team except one treat me with dignity and respect. Sadly today I was spoke to by one of the nurses as if I were a complete and utter nuisance. I am elderly and perhaps this person assumed I am also confused and foolish. I am not but if I were then all the more reason to treat me with kindness rather than tell me off for not being able to see a reading chart. How very sad that one single person spoils the great impression created by the majority in this department who are an asset to the hospital.

Hello, I'm very sorry to hear you felt you were not treated with respect by a member of our staff, which is not at all what we would strive for. This feedback has been shared with the senior manager for the ophthalmology department but if you would like it to be looked into further please can I suggest you contact our patient advice and liaison team on 01724 290132 or nlg-tr.pals@nhs.net Kind regards, Sarah Mainprize
