"HALO procedure on E ward"

About: Horton General Hospital

I was extremely nervous before being admitted. Because of the atmosphere created by the staff I very quickly found that I had lost my nervousness and actually relaxed. All members of staff from the nurses, the anesthetist and consultant who carried out the procedure were very friendly and very informative. At every stage I was informed what will happen and there were no "surprises" for me to contend with. I have worked in a hospital before and I know a good supportive team when I see one. E ward and the surgical team has that in bucket loads. Can't praise them enough.

Thank you very much for your kind comments. It is lovely to hear that your nervousness was alleviated by our staff! We always strive to involve people in their own care, so it's great to hear that you were involved and informed at every stage. Your comments will be passed on to the team. We hope you are recovering well.
