I was extremely nervous before being admitted. Because of the atmosphere created by the staff I very quickly found that I had lost my nervousness and actually relaxed. All members of staff from the nurses, the anesthetist and consultant who carried out the procedure were very friendly and very informative. At every stage I was informed what will happen and there were no "surprises" for me to contend with. I have worked in a hospital before and I know a good supportive team when I see one. E ward and the surgical team has that in bucket loads. Can't praise them enough.
