Following a call to the 111 service I was advised to go in to the Watford General Hospital where I was admitted in the early hours of the morning and was there for the whole day.
Because of the problems I was experiencing I had not eaten much during the previous day and whilst I was in the hospital I was told I could not have anything to eat or drink as I might need surgery. During the day I had 6-8 doctors come to see me, they all prodded and poked, did the same tests but were not too clear about the diagnosis. All I had were sponges to moisten my mouth.
Even when they then decided I did not need an operation I was not offered anything to eat or drink. In the end I discharged myself – my experience fo the hospital was complete and utter rubbish.
They have a huge board up saying how clean they are, to give them their due it was very clean – the ward was cleaned 3 times whilst I was there. Their patient care however is awful.
