"First time ever using A&E without a referal"

About: Hillingdon Hospital

I woke up in sever pain and was hesitant to go the A&E as they are so busy. Upon my arrival the receptionist was very understanding even though I was in tears with the pain. I was seen within 15minutes by a nurse who was wonderful and put me at ease. After they examed me I was then seen by the doctor who examined me and clearly explained what was wrong with me in a way I understood. I was given various medication and was out the door within the hour. I know going to hospital is never a nice thing and a lot of hospitals get bad press but I can say my experience today at Hillingdon hospital was professional, understanding and I was made to feel welcome. So thank you to all the staff that helped me. One more thing, while I was there two security officers were with a gentlemen that obviously had been a nuisance and was waiting for him to get a taxi home. The gentleman was swearing and they very politely and calmly told him to stop as there were ladies present with for me goes a long way in this day and age
