I was seen in Gynae outpatients following a 2 week referral form my GP. The consultants secretary called me to arrange the appointment, as well as a pre- appointment ultrasound scan ( on the same day). It all worked smoothly- the scan was done by a trainee sonographer under the instruction of another sonographer. Both were polite, explained everything and respected my dignity. The over to the outpatient building where there was a bit of a wait- but this was clearly explained and an apology made. The consultant was very approachable, explained everything clearly. They had the scan result available and I was very impressed with the whole thing from start to finish. Joined up care, at its best- and with a smile. Thank you.
