Writing this on behalf of my 91yr old Mother who was admitted in hospital with a fracture in her back, told that she must have a back brace fitted and would have to stay in bed until this was available ,3 weeks later she is still in bed and on phoning nearly ever day have been told on numerous occasions that it would be there the next day then that it had arrived but they couldn't find it and the last comment was that they were waiting for a part. Surely it cannot be good for an elderly lady to just lie in bed she has become confused and depressed she is also partially sighted so unable to read or watch tv cannot blame the staff who are caring but surely someone should take responsibility and proactively chase these orders and understand that this is not acceptable
