i have been in and out of a and e for the past two years with an ongoing issue what is completley effecting my life. my most recent trip was on friday night where i had arrived by ambulance however because the ambulance had picked me up from a pub the hospital assumed it was because i had had a drink which was wrong however the nurse saw me who couldnt care less and was no help at all after they sat me back in the waiting room and said as soon as there was a bed free they would shout me 2 hours later no joy so my parnter asked at the desk how long they said a further 2 hours however the pain wasnt settleing and i had no pain killers by this point i was fed up and decided to go home as i had stronged pain killers at home than what they was giving me. my previous visits have not been as bad as the latest each nurse looked completley fed up and couldnt care at all. i am now embarrassed to go back as i feel the nurses believe im lieing. im in constant pain and now waiting for a ct scan from my doctor so hopefully will get some joy so i dont have to go to a and e ever again

We are sorry that there was a significant waiting time when you arrived at A&E. Like many other trusts nationally, we are experiencing very levels of demand for the service. All patients are triaged on arrival and allocated a clinical priority based on this assessment. Patients are then seen in prioity order. It would appear that your GP is actively investigating your symptoms and this is the best way forward. We hope that the investigations enable a treatment plan to be formulated which addresses your pain.
