My mother was admitted to King Georges and was an in-patient for several weeks. All the staff in Majors, Resuss, and Fern Ward treated her with kindness and respect. The staff in Fern Ward particularly were very caring and patient and have a very demanding job as the majority of patients in there cannot care for their own personal, basic needs. The staff were also thoughtful to the family, the doctors explained what was happening and most of the nursing staff gave 100%. Unfortunately Mum passed away, however we were called during the night so we, her family could be with her. During this time the staff did everything they could to console us. The staff were obviously upset at Mum's passing, and I think it says alot that they are still emotionally involved with patients.. They became part of our family, with the kindness and care they gave to my Mother, and all of us. My Mother could not have had better care if she had gone to a private hospital.
