"Exemplary care"

I had a fall (on black ice) in December 2014 outside my Health Centre. This resulted in the need for emergency admission for assessment via A&E where it was confirmed that I had fractured my hip and required a total left hip replacement. I was transferred from A&E to Ward B23 and I have to say the care I received was exemplary. The surgeon Mr Murray and his team were very patient and explained each stage of the surgery in terms that I could relate to. The nursing staff too were very professional and caring and despite at times being extremely busy they always answered buzzers promptly and answered any questions that I raised. Gold stars as well to the domestic staff, physio, OT ad medical staff.

I also found the follow up care to be excellent and some 4 months down the line I am making a good recovery. I wish I could say that all aspects of GP care was as good as the acute hospital care, but this was not the case in my experience. Those that were good within this service were exceptional but there are areas that could be improved.

Thank you to all staff in Forth Valley Royal Hospital ( forgot to include porters and discharge staff). You have restored my faith in our much maligned NHS.
