About: Sutton Hospital

Arrived at 13:00 for a 13:50 appointment for laser to my eye. Asked at reception how long the wait would be ( parking charges a steep £2/ hour). The receptionist told me 2 hours parking would be more than enough and that appointment should take no longer than 40 minutes. Seen by a nurse at 14:05 then told to take a seat in the waiting area. Manu other patients arrived after me were be seen by a doctor yet I waited till 15:20 and had still not been seen. I asked a nurse how long the wait would be and was told that there were a few more patients ahead of me and the list order had been changed by the consultant and that we needed to speak to the consultant if we were upset about the wait or change in list order. Meanwhile having to feed the car parking meter another £2/ hour. Never saw the consultant nor did they show their face as they handed my file to the poor registrar to deal with. Absolutely shocking.
