"Incredible care !"

About: New Cross Hospital

I have just been dx with uterine cancer and had my operation at this hospital. I can honestly say from the minute I arrived at NX I have been treated so well both medically and personally Initially I saw the consultant after being ref from my local hospital after the MDM and it was decided my best chance of survival and tx would be at NX with its specialists unit. I had a stay after my op on the Gynae ward but before was admiited into Appelby Suite. All the staff from start to finish cared for me at what is a scary time... I mean cared! From the consultant and lovely anaethatists right through to the nurses and cleaners and all those in between the care was incredible. The food was brilliant too. My dignity was considered at all times ... I cannot praise all concerned enough. I am in the early stages of potentially a scary future but I really felt I should comment on my treatment so far. If this is typical of the NHS then I am proud to say we have one! If I had to pay another £10 a week from my wages to increase funding the NHS ID do it as its worth every penny which could only go onto funding and improving the service if the NHS. Thank you to all the staff that I came into contact with you are fantastic ! DE.
