"more pain than heart attack."

About: William Harvey Hospital

Had appointment for heart operation at 10 am ,no beds available and put in waiting room for over4 hours no food to be taken or drink. Got bed at 3 o.clock canula fitted then told doctors now having lunch. Not a problem. Taken in and given mophine and local , stents found to be blocked as I have had before. Started to open stents and put in some more I was in so much pain I was given more pain relief, this did not have any effect at all and I was asking for doctor to stop .then given paracetamol. Pain unbelievable. Had to finish operation as could not stop. Back in recovery had pains worse than ever ,told it was properly bruising. Tried to sleep but impossible. I was sick twice and unable to eat anything. Next day I told nurse I wanted to go home as I would be able to rest better their. In afternoon I was told I could leave.I asked a nurse to take the canuler from my arm which was done, the nurse said why had such a large canuler been put in ? It was completey blocked with blood and no use at all. I spent 3 days to recover and am still unable to walk up stairs without been out of breath. The nurse's in this hospital are the best you could want. Only 2 nurse's in to look after a ward of patients. Paid a fraction of agency nurse's. I have never complained ever about any treatment I have received but this time I want my feelings known. Too many chiefs I think. Thank you all in Cambridge ward.
