About: Royal Bournemouth General Hospital

After being very worried to visit Bournemouth Maternity my concerns were put to bed. There is one particular midwife (and I saw several ) who you really do want looking after you, I don't want to give to much information away but they were the best, knows their stuff and their manor is excellent, took the time to reassure and lives and breathes Bournemouth Hospital. A real credit Bournemouth and finally they have employed staff who go the extra mile. If having a baby was easy I would have more and have no hesitation to go back, plus the new suite is amazing. Your getting there now!!! Thanks again and to your member of staff who help me from start to finish.

Dear Anonymous Congratulations on the birth of your child and I am so glad to hear that the experience benefitted from having your baby in the new Birthing Unit with experienced, dedicated and caring professionals at hand. I am sorry to hear that you had concerns about having your baby at Bournemouth but pleased they were soon allayed once you were here to see for yourself. It is lovely to know that you had fondness for one Midwife who met your needs particularly well and I am sure this is the case for many expectant mothers. We have had a number of comments about the new Birthing Unit all of which are full of praise about the atmosphere and environment. I will pass on your kind words to the Maternity Matron who I know will be more than happy to share them with her team.
