"My dear Mum was brought here, ..."

About: Horton General Hospital

(as a relative),

What I liked

My dear Mum was brought here, & was in Juniper Ward, I had to do a very quick dash from Cornwall as things were not looking good for her, on my arrival, though it was not visiting time I was made welcome & throughout her stay, she was treated with such gentle & loving care, all the staff were the best ever, keeping us upto date with her daily check ups, we have taken mum home for the period we are lucky to have with her, but her time at the Horton was beyond doubt first class, special thanks go to the staff she was top form, even on Mums day to go home, all was sorted with little fuss, we all knowing Mum is on borrowed time but we were treated so well. Well done Juniper Ward, 100% you made my mums stay very comfortable & made me and my sister welcome on the ward. Its with my greatest of thanks to you all.

What could be improved

The Cafe was closed at 2.30, though the food was lovely, its a shame it was not open longer to be able to get a drink and snack.

I had to return to the hospital after mums released to collect her medication, slightly but only slightly anoying as wanted to be with mum her first hours at home but arrived and the nurse took the time to go through all her medication with me (thank you)

Thank you for your comments, which have been passed on to the staff on Juniper Ward. It is always good for our staff to hear when patients and their families have been satisfied with the care they have received.
