"Waiting times for treatment"

About: Crosshouse Hospital / Cardiology

(as a relative),

My husband saw a consultant in November 2014 and was told he needed to have a nuclear medicine test. Still no appointment despite him advising he would be willing to take a cancellation at short notice.

I respond initially to most of the posts and ensure they are passed to the appropriate team whether they are compliments, observations or grumbles. It is important to make sure all issues are addressed and I try to encourage that to happen for all the posts as required.

Dear Newyork,

I am so sorry your husband has had to wait so long; it does seem a long time to wait for any test. I understand that there are various different tests done by the nuclear medicine team and some have different waiting times than others. Without your husband’s name and date of birth or CHI number, I can’t look into it fully. If you do want to contact me, you can email me on eunice.goodwin@aapct.scot.nhs.uk or phone me on 01563 826222. Clearly we will not publish any details pertaining to your husband, but I may be able to let you know privately what the remaining wait is likely to be. I hope this will help is some way albeit possibly only a little. I will also pass this to the manger for this area for his consideration.

Best wishes,

Eunice
